Appreciating Today

Summertime is here, and it is incredibly hot.   Like almost unbearable.   We are surviving somehow, even managing to spend a lot of time outdoors.   In the past month we have beached it, fought a funky virus that left my eldest daughter down and out for a day or two, played with the animals at the zoo where Lana acquired a nice little bruise on her cheek because she refused to ride in her stroller and ended up face first in the fence, and most importantly started a mommy and me ballet class. Kaelyn jumped right in, a prima ballerina in the making.   She was the only student in class to be the teacher’s helper and was totally in her element from start to finish.   Lana wasn’t quite as studious, she was little more into the running around and causing a ruckus… that is what she does best after all. We are looking forward to the weeks ahead… lots of visitors and even a weekend vaca planned
