Close Encounters

It seems to never stop raining around these parts!  And we are going crazy!  There is only so much you can do inside.  We stocked up on some art supplies at Target the other day and we have officially had our first color (she only ate the crayons once!), first play dough sculpture (she didn’t try to eat this once!), and today we will paint (with water of course!).   This morning we saw a sliver of sunshine so we jumped on it.  Kaelyn and I headed to the park and even remembered our bread for the ducks!  We will not bring bread to the ducks anymore.  Holy moly are they some brave ducks.  I swear they would have eaten my leg if I didn’t chuck the whole two pieces of bread I brought at them and ran the other direction.  From now on we will watch the other duck feeders from afar and enjoy as we have in the past.  Even the squirrels are crazy there.  Kaelyn almost brought one home as a pet… they too almost...

Here Comes the Easter Bunny

Last year our little bunny wasn’t even a month old at Easter time… this year the girl sported ears!! We went to church bright and early… as did the entire city of Jupiter.  It was so crowded!  Kaelyn of course loved all the people and didn’t want to sit still.  She tried to navigate the crowd in the “family room”, only to almost be stepped on numerous times.  At home Braxton got his “man basket” while Kaelyn enjoyed her new straw cup and toys.  We then enjoyed some Ultimate Coffee Cake (courtesy of Paula Deen… delish!!), eggs, and bacon (Kaelyn just had eggs… don’t worry.. not quite ready to clog her arteries yet).  The egg hunt was interesting.  We kept it inside, as we don’t have a yard and our girl is taking her sweet time walking.  She crawled her little heart out getting to those eggs though.  Wasn’t really interested as to what was inside… most of the puffs went to Ziggy. ...

Pumpkin Patch or Disney World?

Keeping with our love of Fall theme... today we decided to make a trip down to Bedner's Farm.  It's about a 40 minute drive from us but the promise of hayrides, corn mazes, a petting zoo, and a true pumpkin patch was just to inviting to pass up. We thought we would get there when it opened 1.)  to avoid the lovely October Florida heat and 2.)  to avoid the crowds.  Ha... little did we know!  The farm is out in the middle of nowhere and about a half mile out we see police cars and cones.  Oh no we think... was there a car accident?  Nope... just hoards of people who had the same idea as we did.  Who knew... it was like pulling up to Disney World.  Seriously... out of control!  Had we not driven the forty minutes to get there, we most definitely would have turned around and visited the church pumpkin patches here in town.   Braxton and I decided we were glad we stayed but will not need to visit again next year.  The hayri...
