Appreciating Today

I’m typing this post one handed as I wait for my love to fall asleep.  Two weeks ago I couldn’t get this girl up to eat… but she seems to be exiting the newborn state and getting a little more oomph in her.  She’s still a great sleeper… most nights only waking once to eat.  Rising for the day around 6:30, which is early, but Kaelyn isn’t far behind her so it works for us. Sweet Kaelyn is talking ALL the time these days.  I swear she adds a new word to her vocabulary every day.  Shoes, brush, cup, bless you, welcome, baby, Sally, and the list could go on and on.  She is the best big sister.  She loves Lana… though still refuses to hold her.  She helps me change diapers.   And is very diligent about making sure a paci is in Lana’s mouth at all times, even when Lana doesn’t want it there.  Would never take a paci as a baby… now look at her! Looks like KK is doing a wresting move here… but no worries… no babies were harmed in this picture!  Thanksgiving was wonderfu

Lana Belle Carlisle is here!   And we are overjoyed!   But… to rewind a bit… Meet my little tennis pro.   She’s quite the cutie.   Serena better watch herself.   We had previously decided to skip Trick or Treating this year.    We live in an apartment complex and we weren’t sure if our Lana would be here or not so we went Trunk or Treating earlier in the week.   Brax and I could not believe our girl.   We were convinced that he would have to hold her the whole time with all the people and costumes.   But no… little KK is truly my daughter.   When candy is involved… she is on a mission.   She walked right up to each car and got that candy.   And when the nice folks let her choose the candy… she took a handful.     Waiting like a big girl So that is a Chick-Fil-A cookie that young girl was handing out.  It was delicious! I am going to keep this short and sweet as I hope to squeeze in a short nap before my little awakes.  Staying up until midnight last night has done a number to this woman who usually is in bed by 9:30.  Totally worth it though... the Seminoles are on fire and I for one couldn't be more excited!! We headed out yesterday morning to a free Fall Festival in our area.  Not only was the festival free... but they were also giving away pumpkins.  How awesome is that?  After our not so wonderful experience last weekend, we were super stoked to leave with two perfect pumpkins!  We didn't even have to fight the crowds for them... though it was hard to get a picture taken without someone photo bombing! Checking out the options Kaelyn preferred the rotting pumpkins Daddy found a winner! Struttin' Pumpkin Pie Funnel Cake... I died and went to heaven! Today we finished up getting ready for baby.  There is now a second car seat in our car... we will see ho
