Appreciating: May

May was full of end-of-season dance recitals, end-of-preschool excitedness, and travels here and there with us venturing out of town and family venturing in.  We brought May to a close with a little hometown staycation- full of beach adventures, hula dancing, BBQs, and mini-golf.

Appreciating lately:

A Tiny Dancer
Here’s a bonus of my cutes before her recital.  We are taking a break from ballet over the summer and are trying something new- gymnastics.  Little sister will get to join in on the fun this go round.

Our Backyard
So not technically our backyard, but just a hop, skip, and jump down the street and here we are.  Braxton’s dream came true because we had two little girls finally take a ride on his surfboard.  He may have two surfer chicks after all- and we now have a new kids surfboard being delivered any day.

My Dedicated Husband
He works so incredibly hard on our yard and it has proven to be such a pain in the you know what.  Rain or shine he was getting our new sod in the ground.

Memorial Day Fun
We BBQ’d and splashed in our pool (sure hoping we can upgrade this to the real deal some day soon).

Photos
I have been making slideshows for each girl on her birthday and they are obsessed.  We spend hours watching each year of life.  Kaelyn is already showing a love of photographs, which gives me a happy heart.

Putt-Putt
Brax has wanted to take the girls mini-golfing for some time and we finally got around to doing it.  Holy mother was it hot.  Like going to pass out hot.  And it was only 10 am.  Kaelyn loved it, Lana loved causing destruction to the course.  Pretty much how most of our adventures go.

Cracks me up- her hair and expression are exactly how I felt in that heat.

A Hula Dancer in the Making
We were treated to some serious dinner entertainment one night while dining out.
