Happy Birthday Kaelyn! It’s Dancey, Dance Time!

Not sure how it happened… but we have a three year old.  Every blink and this girl of mine grows an inch.  My sweet Kaelyn loves to dance and sing, complete puzzles faster than her parents, say hi to anyone who will reciprocate...and even those who don’t, sing her ABCs and count.  She is timid and independent.  Loves her bike, the outdoors, her parents and sissy, and of course her most precious possession, her baby.

My smarty pants loves to learn and interact. This girl of mine is stubborn, doesn’t break easily.  She sleeps with a slew of friends, including her baby, Sally, Peppa the pig, Foofa, and teddy bear.  Not so original in the name department… likes to keep it simple.  Her little hair is long enough now to put into two tiny pigtails.  And most recently... she showed the potty who is boss.

She is my beautiful first born.  She made me a mamma… the best title out there.  Brax and I were talking the other night… we barely remember what life was like before she came along.  She and her sister are our world… and they make it absolutely beautiful.

Kaelyn was uber excited for her “Gabba Party.”  As the day neared, we giggled with excitement, discussing all the loved ones who were coming especially to celebrate her.  And when I mentioned the presents… her little face broke into this priceless grin.

The timidness of my sweet three year old took over on party day.  She played with her cousins as we party prepped and when the guests started arriving she hung on the couch… watching her new “gabba friends” with a protective eye, making sure sis did not snatch one.  Those five plastic characters were supposed to be a party decoration but may quite possibly have been her favorite gift from the whole day.

We celebrated with the perfect mix of family and friends.  I have tried to tone it done some when it comes to the party throwing, but damn Pinterest gets me every time.  This was such a fun party to plan and celebrate!

Happy Birthday to our little Gabba friend.

To quote our favorite DJ Lance, “Thanks for coming, We’ll see you next time!”
