Keeping with our love of Fall theme... today we decided to make a trip down to Bedner's Farm. It's about a 40 minute drive from us but the promise of hayrides, corn mazes, a petting zoo, and a true pumpkin patch was just to inviting to pass up.
We thought we would get there when it opened 1.) to avoid the lovely October Florida heat and 2.) to avoid the crowds. Ha... little did we know! The farm is out in the middle of nowhere and about a half mile out we see police cars and cones. Oh no we think... was there a car accident? Nope... just hoards of people who had the same idea as we did. Who knew... it was like pulling up to Disney World. Seriously... out of control! Had we not driven the forty minutes to get there, we most definitely would have turned around and visited the church pumpkin patches here in town.
Braxton and I decided we were glad we stayed but will not need to visit again next year. The hayride was cute... though no hay to be found. We did get to see an alligator though. Only in Florida. We skipped the corn maize because after waiting for the hayride and feasting on some BBQ... this ready to pop pregnant mamma had had enough. It was getting rather hot and crowded. We perused the pumpkin patch where Kaelyn refused to look at the camera and decided to make our journey home.

Yes... that is an alligator |
Only in Florida can you visit a pumpkin patch and the beach in one weekend... which is exactly what we did. Yesterday Kaelyn and I had fun in the sand while Daddy surfed.

This past week KK and I have been working on the color green. She loved her tot trays in the beginning of the week but towards the end took more enjoyment out of throwing them. That's her new thing... lucky me.

We have also decided that she is most happy when she eats... but she will only eat a handful of things. Her favorites right now... macaroni and cheese, cheese quesadilla, chicken nuggets, watermelon, and pineapple. Typical toddler. It's quite frustrating to spend time trying to make her healthy yummy meals... only to have her push them away before even trying. Oh well... what's a mommy to do? The girls got to eat!
The best part of our pumpkin patch journey today... we left without a pumpkin. No worries... we already have pumpkin patching planned for next weekend!!
Kaelyn, Grandma likes cheese quesadillas as much as you do!!!!!!!!!
