Fall Favorites
Our Fall has been full and my heart is happy. We
have spent the season outside; playing with friends, Fall Festival-ing,
exploring, and making up for blown birthday trips to Busch Gardens. We have kept busy, counting down the nights until the arrival of Halloween and I have two little girlies that can't wait to let their crazy princess out of the bag (maybe just one princess, Lana has yet to put on the costume she picked out!).
These two are going to be trouble. Ha... going to be?!? |
I have no words! |
After the disaster that was Busch Gardens, the second go-round went off without a hitch. Cooler temps (aka-not 100
degrees), no rain, and a stroller that cooperated. Oh, and then there was the BOGO beers.
That would be Kaelyn in the back of the stroller, canopy pulled down. She wanted nothing to do with this contraption. |
Kaelyn has had the quite the month. What we thought was a bug bite, turned out to be a painful abscess that had to be drained by the doctor. Not a good time, for her or her mama. Nothing worse than having to watch your little one go through something so painful and not being able to help. She is doing much better now and is also rocking a new hair style. She will sport an actual pony tail one day, mark my words. In the meantime, gotta keep her looking prim and polished.
Ice cream makes any doctors visit better |
We have kept a pace this month, filling our fall cup till it overflows. Kaelyn got her inner Tim the Tool
Man on and constructed a spooky bird house. Love my girl's Halloween spirit! We have
painted pumpkins and boo-ed at the zoo.
There is a certain three year old in this household who literally cannot
wait for Halloween. Being the mom who has to listen to her ask twelve times a
day when it will be time to go trick-or-treating, I am rather grateful for all the distractions.
Kite Runner |
We took to a little local exploring a few weekends ago. All it takes is a boardwalk and some trees
and my girls think they are in the rain forest.
What October is complete without a visit to a pumpkin
patch? Kaelyn, much to her parents chagrin, decided she once again wanted to break out the paint, this time black. Oh, my sweet Lana. She explored her inner body painter and went to
town. Lady then decided to rip off the
diaper and streak across our back yard covered in paint. It's one of those moments you just roll with because she is just so damn cute. Wish I could share all the pictures I got…
but keeping my little ladies' privacy in check, you will just have to use your
imagination on this one.
New favorite move, the photo-bomb |
Anticipating the weekend ahead! Halloween and a soon-to-be two year old!
