Fall in all it's Glory!

This post right here solidifies why I love October something fierce.   As I look back on the pictures I have from the month I am blown away by all we have done and realize why I am scrambling to get a little ladies third birthday ready by this coming weekend and wondering where the heck all my time went.

I still can’t believe we dealt with Hurricane Matthew in the month of October.  It already seems like it was ages ago, though the yard debris still covering our front yard serves as a reminder it was not.  It was a really scary couple of days and we are so thankful other than a lot of fence and yard damage, our beachside community faired well.  Heeding the mandatory evacuation, we made a little vacation out of it and headed to Fort Myers for a long weekend.

This boat may not have survived the storm so well.

Being home and back in the swing of things we toured our local volunteer firehouse and had a scare with the animals at Boo at the Zoo.

We took field trips with the girls preschool to the pumpkin patch and this weekend went to the Fall Festival at the girl’s school where they played games and stocked up on candy.

Yesterday we went to a farm about forty minutes from here.  All four of us had the best time.  We pretty much had the place to ourselves and the girls fell in love with the animals.  Lana in particular forged a bond with the goats.  She is now known in our house as the, “goat whisperer.”  Kaelyn shocked her father and I as she hopped onto that pony and took it for a whirl.  We are already planning our next trip back!

Can't wait for this week with Halloween and my youngest turning three! (are you kidding me?)
