Siesta Key and a 4th to Remember

Summertime is one of the best times of our year.  Is it the hundred-degree weather that brings us such joy?  Uh, no.  More because of scenes like this...

And this...

And of course, this...

We started summer with Grandma, Aunt Cassie, Uncle Jack, Nev, and Grace, followed it by a long weekend in Siesta Key with Poppy, CeeCee, and our Apples, and are currently enjoying having Nonnie in town.

Siesta Key was beautiful and we were fortunate to have stayed in an adorable costal house right on the beach.  We had restaurants and shopping within walking distance but mostly just enjoyed spending time with family.  Our neighbors were from the great town of Tallahassee, so you know they were awesome, and they had a sweet little girl Kaelyn’s age.  After a bit of hesitation, Kaelyn had herself a new little friend to play ball and cause trouble with.

Our 4th was full of food and fireworks.  Lana the daredevil was on constant lockdown, she was attempting to become the first toddler fire-eater.  Uncle Jack and Brax gave us a spectacular show before we headed out to watch the big guys.  (which was a waste of time, Kaelyn was more interested in her glow stick and Lana just wanted to run around or go to bed).

Ziggy found his favorite resting spot, a sleeping Uncle Jack.

Don't know if there has even been quite a fireworks show like the one these two put on.

Summer just keeps getting better and better.

Lana sure loves her cousin Ethan, take a look...
